Synopsis
A landmark issue marking the midpoint of the Star Spangled War Stories run. Von Hammer's tally grows as the war grinds on. Germany's strategic position worsens with each month. The Hammer of Hell flies on — not for victory, which he no longer believes in, but because the sky is the only world in which he makes sense.
Collector Notes
Kanigher and Kubert mark the milestone with an unusually reflective issue. By #150, the tension between von Hammer's patriotism and his private disillusionment is fully developed — he fights because he knows no other life, not because he believes in the cause.
