Synopsis
A massive aerial battle leaves von Hammer as the last man flying. His victory is absolute — and hollow. He surveys the wreckage of fallen aircraft and reflects on the men inside them, men he could have called friends in any other world.

One of the most visually stunning issues of the run, with a spectacular double-page spread of the aftermath. The issue's title refers both to the sunset sky stained by smoke and fire, and to von Hammer's own internal state.
